What is music forge project?music forge project (mfp) is a library of plug-in presets and scores (no samples or copyrighted material). I myself have built this library (if someone wants to give presets for the library, it is much appreciated). The library uses a series of free vst (not included in the installation of the mfp). A sort of renaissancey version of the first two lines of ding dong merrily on high, composed on cubase with samples from the edirol orchestral plug in (a bit of harp, french horn, alto flute and violin with kettle drum and sleigh bell percussion). This was for the intro to a radio sketch but hopefully could be useful for other theme setting. Sorry in advance for not doing the whole song.

I think this sounds a bit like a jazz age theme reflecting a journey by steam ship. It was bolted together from little loopable sections (also uploaded separately here) which were all created using edirol orchestral samples and the magic of arpeggiating programs. Feel free to use this for anything you like without crediting me, or assemble your own tune out of the individual sections.

The first tune to hear on this recording is the theme song "Gonna Raise A Ruckus Tonight", later Larry Mathis plays the "Dixie Breakdown" with the barn dance band. This is a 55 seconds music file, extracted from Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's "Hamlet Op. 67" Ouverture, composed in 1888. I uploaded it in order to prove that the well known melody "Autum Leaves" composed in 1945 by Joseph Kosma was in fact plagiarized from Tchaikovsky. This choro music shows the typical improvisation style of the choro players. The music is a variation of the ancient folk theme of northern part of Rio de Janeiro state called "Dança da Urubu" also called "Urubu Malandro", "Samba do Urubu" or "O Urubu e o Gavião". Flute: Pixinguinha (recorded in 1930).Português: Esta gravação mostra o típico estilo de improvisação do choro. A música é uma variação da música folclórica chamada "Dança do Urubu", oriunda do norte do Estado do Rio de Janeiro. Hello,. This is the sample pack that i completed for the sound design course at slam academy. The theme of this pack is sounds that could be used to make melancholy and dark sounding music, but use however you see fit. I used ableton’s operator and analog synthesizers and xfer’s serum plugin to create this sounds. All processing was used using ableton’s stock effects and serum’s stock effects. Some creepy music i made in garageband for an intro for something called victors crypt!. It's basically a synth-melody played with a lot of reverb and some echo. And just some fx wailing guitar and voice in the back. Reminds me a bit of some 80's horror theme or something. Feel free to use it as long as you give me the credit for it/write me as composer.
